Team in Training

Welp, I can no longer put off my poor running habits. Because if I do, a lot of people are going to know, and that would just be the most embarrassing thing to tell people, I came in last place, but thanks for donating to the cause!

Okay, I guess I should back up a little...

I needed some motivation, and if you have been following this blog from the beginning, you know that the only thing that seems to motivate me is signing up for races that cost money, because I hate wasting money.

Case in point, the Philadelphia Half-Marathon. And this time, it's not just $20 we're talking about. We're talking about $1,000 because I love volunteerism and charity (it actually says that on my resume).

Why $1,000 you ask? Because I joined the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training. It is a wonderful organization that raises money to find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. Obviously I would love to raise more than that, but with only 10 weeks until race day I figured this was an achieveable goal.

Though I could just charge it all to my credit card, I would rather have your help in reaching this goal so I ask all of you (if there are even people who read this) to please consider donating to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by supporting me as I run the Philadelphia Half-Marathon on November 20.

All donations can be made on my personal page by clicking here. Don't forget, charitable donations are tax deductable (my accountant roommates would kill me if I didn't mention that).

That's all for now.

Oh and even if you don't make a donation, please pray that it doesn't snow!!!

XOXO

PS - as soon as I get some spare time at work, you will get some training updates!
