Well first, let me start with I am forcing my husband to do this too, so I will also be posting his "healthy choices" as well. And I am not good at checking emails, etc. during the weekend because I have to be in front of one so much during the week, so you will have to wait for my Monday posts to here about our weekend choices.
Dan Day 1 (Friday):
Salad for lunch and he took the dog for a long walk (also on lunch).
Dan Day 2 (Saturday):
I can't remember, I will have to check with him!
Rae Day 2:
Ate vegetables at every meal and went shopping for two hours. Shopping was not a healthy choice, but walking around for two hours and carrying all our bags most certainly counts.
Dan & Rae Day 3 (Sunday):
Ate a completely gluten free meal for dinner
My mother-in-law has a gluten intolerance and Dan has some minor tummy trouble, but won't admit it because he likes beer too much, so we have really been embracing the gluten free diet and trying out more and more of the products offered. Wegmans' selection has grown massively and there are so many good treats in there. When cooking just for ourselves, we're not crazy sticklers like using separate pans, toasters, etc. more just keeping the flour out of our meals.

Day 1
Today's healthy choice was eating leftovers for lunch today instead of the standard pizza Friday. We had homemade fajitas last night, but for lunch I skipped the shell and just ate the chicken (marinated in cilantro-lime SO good), peppers (red, yellow and orange for some color) and melted cheese on top (just a little, I swear). I also had some salad and yogurt. So overall, much better choice. One done, thirty-nine choices to go.

40 Days of Fitness
While I would like to say I came up with this idea myself... I didn't, he did. If you're like me and don't like clicking all the links until your done for fear you'll forget to come back and finish what you started reading, I'll summarize :)
Brian at LIVESTRONG went on a run that was so inspiring that he promised to make one healthy choice every day for the rest of the year. This "healthy choice" could be a physical activity (gym, rub, workout video) or passing up the pecan pie for something that isn't 500 calories. The run happened to take place 40 days before the end of the year.
And now you know the basic concept.
If you checked the calendar you'll see that we have 42 days left of 2013, so starting Friday, I will begin posting my own 40 days of fitness healthy choices... and at the end of this I will be on a plane to St. Lucia!!!
